Art in changing perspectives
thru Aug 16 weekends 1 – 6PM
It’s a great place to catch a harbor breeze and snatch an affordable piece of art.
Among the 800 new works and 220+ exhibiting artists, four artists are featured -
Audrey Frank Anastasi, whose paintings capture the soul and essence of their subjects,
Joseph Anastasi and his grand scale presentation of photographic images which definitely offer an altered perspective
David DiPasquale’s spiritual, otherworldly qualities of light in his Octave Cycle paintings and
Arden Suydam’s Night Crossings – a unique perspective of the Brooklyn Bridge at night.
This weekend at the Pier:

MEMBERS’ NEWS
From Fall Show Co-Chairs Steven (Fritz) Weiss and Carlo Grassini about Words of Color:
This is a narrative show about the Words and the Colors of Art. It is open to all medium of art, performance and word requiring only your imagination. But above all it will require that you submit a narrative with your work in order to be hung on the center aisles, although we would prefer every panel have a narrative. Your narrative can be one word to one page long. If your narrative is an integrated into your work it is not necessary to submit a separate narrative. The narrative can be a statement, poem, or story.
Further to the Edge: Like the Summer Show, the 200′s Bay will allow total freedom of, what, where and how your work is displayed on your panel. You can have as many works with or without frames as you can hang. You even choose your own panel. We encourage more members to take advantage of this opportunity.
If you need an extra large panel to present your work, please submit your Images, Words, thoughts, ideas and suggestions to steven_weiss@verizon.net and cart2gonow@nyc.rr.com .
The Words of Color speculates, insinuates and attempts to define the discourse of the essential elements of Art as the Word and Word as the Art: Color, Balance, Texture, Image, Song, Performance, Dance, Poem, Emotion, Concept:
This is an example:
He sat fixated
No stirring about
Almost breathless
His face against the paned view-scape of this morning’s world
His face seemed to be sculpted by the dance of sunbeams across his face
The windswept currents of leaf-dance
Ablaze in reds, oranges and yellows
Intermixed within an endless assortment
The many shades of umber
And in the background a brilliant blue enveloped
The many caricatures of white pillow like creatures
Available in all sizes and shapes
In the distance the trumpeting of snow geese
The sharp blurting call of mallards, teals, canvasbacks and wood ducks While close enough almost to touch
A chorus of mockingbirds, cardinals and chickadees
Chimed in to complete this morning’s performance of autumnal beauty
Fritz (Steven) Weiss

Call for photographers for stock agency collaboration:
I am looking for all photographers interested in submitting works to my new online stock agency. All photos will be copyright protected (your copyright) and watermarked.
Advertising agencies, businesses, collectors, art lovers, the general public, basically any user of the internet, etc. will have the opportunity to buy your works royalty free for usage in ads, the internet, newspaper, billboards, etc. Additionally, the website provides the ability for interested parties to purchase prints from a professional print lab.
You take 65% (I said 60% last week – sorry) of the sale which is significantly higher than what the traditional stock agencies pay out. There is the ability to set your own prices or you can utilize our global pricing model. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase some or all of your work. I am working on major publicity, advertising, my network of creatives and industry professionals, and search engine optimization and management firms to get you recognized and funded.
Please get in touch with Dan Marino | dan@danmarinophoto.com | (917) 207-2091 if interested. Looking for all category submissions at this point in time.
